Londoners can now eat a rainbow on Brick Lane thanks to the rainbow coloured beigels on sale at Brick Lane’s Beigel Shop (that’s the yellow signed one). It is Britain’s oldest and very first open 24hrs 365 days a year beigel shop. The Beigel Shop can be found at 155 Brick Lane, E1 6SB.
A plain beigel is 50p and after being ensured they tasted the same as regular beigels I decided to try a filling of Nutella to satisfy a craving I have had for a few days and so having parted with my nutty, chocolatey psychedelic swirl and £1 I stepped onto the street for a taste…. and yes, it tasted like a beigel with a Nutella filling. Reassuring and hit the spot.
The staff were efficient and friendly even after dealing with a very rude customer insisting on having their beigel made again (twice!) due to them not liking the look of the salmon and then walking out of the shop without paying. A colourful sweet treat and a touch of drama on the side…only in London!?!

Customer Comments
"All of the walks are informative, entertaining and a great way to learn about, and see, things in London, that aren't necessarily the top 10 tourist sites. Hazel holds a wealth of information and delivers it in a manner that keeps the group engaged."
“Hazel provided an informative and fun commentary(and well microphoned up) on a cold and windy night. Took us to some places that, although a lifelong Londoner, I had not been to before. I would recommend her walks."
